Description

Third shirt worn by AS Roma during the 1998/99 season.

The shirt features a bold black base, accented by orange and grey panels on either side of the front, with the grey panel extending into the lower half of each sleeve. An orange stripe runs down both sleeves, detailed with small continuous black Roma wolf graphics, while the orange collar is finished with maroon and black striping and matched by orange cuffs. The result is a striking, layered design that perfectly captures the bold late-90s aesthetic.

The 1998/99 season was an entertaining but ultimately frustrating campaign for Roma under Zdeněk Zeman. The Giallorossi finished 5th in Serie A with 54 points, narrowly missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification by just one point. Roma were the league’s highest scorers with 69 goals thanks to Zeman’s attacking philosophy, but defensive issues saw them concede 49. The club also reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup before losing to Atlético Madrid, while their Coppa Italia run ended in the Round of 16. The season was also significant as Francesco Totti became the youngest captain in Serie A history at just 22 years old.

Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
