Description
Retro third shirt worn by Bayi FC during the 1998 season, a design that perfectly reflected the club’s unique identity as the football team of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
The shirt featured a complete red base, bold and uncompromising from collar to hem. The uninterrupted red colourway symbolised strength and authority, echoing the club’s military foundations. Set against the red were the distinctive yellow stars, a powerful emblem closely associated with China’s national symbolism and the armed forces, making the design feel purposeful rather than purely decorative.
As a military team, Bayi FC was unlike any other club in Chinese football. Representing the People’s Liberation Army, the side carried a sense of discipline and institutional pride onto the pitch, and their kits often reflected that identity through strong colours and patriotic imagery.
Striking, symbolic and deeply rooted in its background, the 1998 third shirt stands as a bold expression of Bayi’s military heritage, an all-red design elevated by iconic yellow stars and a proud sense of national identity.
