Home shirt worn by Boca Juniors during the 2010–2011 season.

The shirt features a deep blue base with a bold yellow horizontal stripe running across the middle of the shirt, staying true to Boca Juniors’ instantly recognisable identity. A yellow neckline completes the design, adding a clean and traditional finish that reinforces the club’s classic blue-and-gold colour scheme. Simple and iconic, the kit reflects Boca’s historic visual identity without unnecessary embellishment.

The 2010–11 season was a transitional and challenging period for Boca Juniors, marked by instability and mixed results across both domestic tournaments. The club finished 11th in the Apertura 2010 and 7th in the Clausura 2011, with three different managers taking charge over the course of the campaign, including Claudio Borghi, an interim spell under Roberto Pompei, and the appointment of Julio César Falcioni midway through the season.

Despite the inconsistency, the season is most remembered for the emotional farewell of club legend Martín Palermo. The all-time great striker played his final matches for Boca before retiring at the end of the Clausura 2011, receiving a memorable tribute at La Bombonera, where he was famously gifted one of the stadium goalposts in recognition of his legacy. Palermo finished the season with 14 goals in 38 appearances, once again proving his importance even in his final year. Juan Román Riquelme also featured in a limited number of matches due to injuries but still contributed his trademark influence in midfield.

The season also included notable Superclásico moments against River Plate, with Boca losing 1–0 in the Apertura at the Monumental before winning 2–0 at home in the Clausura, a result that played a significant role in River’s historic relegation battle.

This shirt is remembered as part of a farewell chapter for one of Boca Juniors’ greatest ever players, symbolising the end of an era while the club prepared for a new cycle under Falcioni.
