The 1994 season was a key transitional year for Botafogo, laying the foundations for their historic success the following campaign. The arrival of prolific striker Túlio Maravilha transformed the team’s attacking threat, and he quickly became the standout performer. Botafogo finished 5th in the Campeonato Brasileiro, with one of the season’s highlights being a dominant 4–0 victory over São Paulo, where Túlio scored a memorable hat-trick.

In the Campeonato Carioca, Túlio again led from the front, finishing as joint top scorer with 14 goals, although the campaign also included setbacks such as a heavy defeat to Fluminense. On the international stage, Botafogo competed in the Recopa Sudamericana but were defeated 3–1 by São Paulo, while they did find success in the Triangular Internacional Eduardo Paes, winning the tournament with a victory over União da Madeira.

Alongside Túlio, key figures included goalkeeper Wágner, captain Wilson Gottardo, and midfielders Beto and Sérgio Manoel, forming a balanced and competitive squad.

This shirt is remembered as part of a rebuilding Botafogo side that combined tradition with emerging firepower, setting the stage for their famous 1995 Brazilian Championship triumph.

Wash at 30°C maximum. Higher temperatures can damage the fabric, fade colours, and crack printed lettering.

🔄 Cycle

Use a gentle or delicate cycle only. Avoid heavy spin cycles which can distort the shirt shape.

👕 Inside Out

Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the back print, badges, and any embroidery.

🧴 Detergent

Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.

💨 Drying

Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.

🔥 Ironing

Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.

Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.

⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
