The 1997/98 season was a year of transition and inconsistency for Deportivo. After a poor start, manager Carlos Alberto Silva was replaced in October 1997 by José Manuel Corral. The team finished 12th in La Liga with 49 points, marking their lowest league finish in six years. Despite the challenges, the campaign saw the arrival of future club legends who would shape Deportivo’s historic success: Djalminha became the focal point of the attack, Jacques Songo'o held goal, while veterans Mauro Silva and Donato provided midfield stability. Defensive stalwarts Noureddine Naybet and young talent Lionel Scaloni also contributed to the squad’s foundation for future success.

🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
