Description

Home shirt worn by England national football team during the 1966 season, forever remembered as the jersey in which England lifted their first and only FIFA World Cup. Worn by legendary figures including Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters and Gordon Banks, this shirt became one of the most iconic kits in football history.

The design embraces timeless simplicity with a clean white base, reflecting England's traditional colours. A smart red fold-over collar adds a bold contrast, while matching red trim on the sleeve cuffs provides a subtle finishing touch. The embroidered Three Lions crest sits proudly on the chest, completing a minimalist design that has become synonymous with England's greatest footballing achievement.

Managed by Alf Ramsey, England hosted and won the 1966 FIFA World Cup, producing an unforgettable tournament on home soil. After progressing through the group stage, England defeated Argentina national football team in the quarter-finals before overcoming Portugal national football team 2–1 in the semi-finals, thanks to two goals from Bobby Charlton.

The final at Wembley Stadium on 30 July 1966 saw England face West Germany national football team in one of the most famous matches ever played. After the sides were level at 2–2 following 90 minutes, Geoff Hurst scored the legendary extra-time goal that struck the crossbar and bounced down on the line before adding a fourth in the closing moments to complete the only hat-trick ever scored in a men's FIFA World Cup Final. England claimed a historic 4–2 victory after extra time, with captain Bobby Moore famously lifting the Jules Rimet Trophy.

This shirt remains one of football's most celebrated jerseys, representing the pinnacle of English football and the unforgettable triumph that secured England's place in sporting history.

Washing Instructions

Care Instructions To keep your shirt looking its best for years to come, please follow these guidelines carefully.
🌡️ Temperature
Wash at 30°C maximum. Higher temperatures can damage the fabric, fade colours, and crack printed lettering.
🔄 Cycle
Use a gentle or delicate cycle only. Avoid heavy spin cycles which can distort the shirt shape.
👕 Inside Out
Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the back print, badges, and any embroidery.
🧴 Detergent
Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.
💨 Drying
Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.
🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
