Description

Home shirt worn by England during the 2003–05 period.

The design features a classic white base, staying true to England’s traditional home colours, with a smart white collar that includes a navy stripe for a clean and understated finish. A red neckline adds a bold touch of contrast, while navy cuffs neatly frame the sleeves. The red stripe running down either sleeve gives the shirt extra definition and adds a dynamic edge, making it one of England’s most recognisable and well-balanced shirts of the early 2000s.

The 2004 year in particular was a defining moment for England’s so-called “Golden Generation” under Sven-Göran Eriksson, with this shirt becoming most closely associated with UEFA Euro 2004 in Portugal. England entered the tournament as one of the favourites and, despite a heartbreaking opening defeat to France after Zinedine Zidane’s dramatic stoppage-time double, responded with impressive wins over Switzerland and Croatia to reach the quarter-finals. Their campaign ended in one of the most memorable matches of the era against hosts Portugal, where a 2–2 draw led to a 6–5 penalty shootout defeat, remembered for Sol Campbell’s disallowed goal and David Beckham’s slipped spot kick. The tournament also saw the explosive rise of 18-year-old Wayne Rooney, who scored four goals before injury cut short his run, while Frank Lampard fully established himself on the international stage and Paul Scholes’ England career came to an end soon after. The shirt also carried into the start of England’s 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign, making it a standout design from a period full of talent, drama, and lingering “what might have been” moments for the national side.

A classic white England home shirt with a white collar, navy stripe detailing, red neckline, navy cuffs, and red sleeve stripes, representing the national side during the 2003–05 period and the drama of Euro 2004.

Washing Instructions

Care Instructions To keep your shirt looking its best for years to come, please follow these guidelines carefully.
🌡️ Temperature
Wash at 30°C maximum. Higher temperatures can damage the fabric, fade colours, and crack printed lettering.
🔄 Cycle
Use a gentle or delicate cycle only. Avoid heavy spin cycles which can distort the shirt shape.
👕 Inside Out
Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the back print, badges, and any embroidery.
🧴 Detergent
Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.
💨 Drying
Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.
🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
