The 1995 season was one of huge anticipation for Flamengo as the club celebrated its centenary year with one of the most star-studded squads in Brazilian football. Determined to mark the occasion in spectacular fashion, Flamengo signed reigning FIFA World Player of the Year Romário from Barcelona, creating enormous excitement among supporters.

Despite the immense expectations, the season ultimately ended without a major trophy. In the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Flamengo endured a disappointing campaign and finished 15th, far below the standards expected from the club. In the Campeonato Carioca, they reached the final stage but lost the title to rivals Fluminense in a dramatic 3–2 decider. Flamengo also reached the Supercopa Libertadores final, where they were defeated 2–1 on aggregate by Independiente.

The team’s attack became famously known as the “Attack of Dreams” (Ataque dos Sonhos), featuring Romário alongside Sávio and Edmundo. While the trio produced moments of brilliance and attacking flair, inconsistency and tactical imbalance prevented the side from fulfilling its enormous potential.

One of the highlights of the season came in the Copa do Brasil, where Flamengo recorded an emphatic 8–0 victory over Kaburé-TO, showcasing the attacking quality within the squad even during an inconsistent year.

This shirt is remembered as a classic Flamengo design from the club’s centenary celebrations, symbolising a season filled with ambition, superstar talent, and unforgettable expectation surrounding one of the most talked-about teams in Brazilian football history.

Washing Instructions

Wash at 30°C maximum. Higher temperatures can damage the fabric, fade colours, and crack printed lettering.

🔄 Cycle

Use a gentle or delicate cycle only. Avoid heavy spin cycles which can distort the shirt shape.

👕 Inside Out

Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the back print, badges, and any embroidery.

🧴 Detergent

Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.

💨 Drying

Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.

🔥 Ironing

Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.

Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.

⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
