Description

Third shirt worn by LA Galaxy during the 1997/98 seasons.

The shirt features bold green and white vertical stripes across the body, divided by thinner yellow stripes that add a vibrant burst of contrast. A black and white neckline completes the design, giving the shirt a sharp finish and making it one of the most eye-catching alternate kits from the early MLS era.

The 1997 and 1998 seasons were formative years in LA Galaxy’s rise as one of the standout clubs in early Major League Soccer. In 1997, the Galaxy posted a 16–16 record, finishing 2nd in the Western Conference before being eliminated by Dallas Burn in the Conference Semi-finals. After Octavio Zambrano took over during that season, the team began to evolve into one of the league’s most exciting attacking sides.

That transformation fully arrived in 1998, when LA Galaxy won the Supporters’ Shield with a dominant 24–8 regular-season record and a then-record 85 goals scored. They finished 1st in the Western Conference and reached the Conference Finals, where they were eventually beaten by Chicago Fire. Key figures included Cobi Jones, who enjoyed a career-best season with 19 goals and a place in the MLS Best XI, the charismatic Jorge Campos in goal, and creative midfielder Mauricio Cienfuegos, who remained central to the team’s attacking identity.

Wash at 30°C maximum. Higher temperatures can damage the fabric, fade colours, and crack printed lettering.

🔄 Cycle

Use a gentle or delicate cycle only. Avoid heavy spin cycles which can distort the shirt shape.

👕 Inside Out

Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the back print, badges, and any embroidery.

🧴 Detergent

Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.

💨 Drying

Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.

🔥 Ironing

Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.

Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.

⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.

1. Can I return or exchange my retro shirt?

We operate a strict no-returns and no-exchanges policy. We do not accept returns for any reason, including change of mind, wrong size, or personal preference. Items with player printing or any customisation cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances (unless they arrive damaged, see question 2). All sales are final.

2. What happens if my shirt arrives damaged?

Please inspect your order immediately and contact us right away at [email protected] with your order number and clear photos of the damage.
If we confirm the issue, we will send you a free replacement shirt (shipping included) at no extra cost, and you can keep the original damaged item.

3. How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders are prepared and dispatched within 3–4 business days.
UK delivery after dispatch: typically 5–7 business days.
International delivery after dispatch: typically 10–14 business days.

You will receive a shipping confirmation with full tracking as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. All shipping is completely free worldwide.

4. What size should I order?

Monitor your tracking regularly. If you believe delivery has failed, first contact the courier yourself (using the tracking link we sent you) to reschedule delivery or arrange collection.
Then email us at [email protected]. We will investigate and confirm whether the package is lost (this usually takes 1–2 weeks after the scheduled delivery date). If confirmed lost, we will send you a free replacement (shipping included) at no extra cost.
