Description
Home shirt worn by Liverpool F.C. during the 1995–96 season, one of the most iconic and entertaining campaigns in the club’s Premier League history under manager Roy Evans.
The shirt features a classic red base with clean white detailing running down the sleeves, giving it a sharp and traditional Liverpool appearance. The standout design element is the white neckline, finished with a bold red, yellow, and black stripe that adds a distinctive mid-90s flair and makes the kit instantly recognisable among supporters.
Liverpool finished 3rd in the FA Premier League with 71 points, recording 20 wins, 11 draws, and 7 defeats. While they fell short in the title race, the season is remembered far more for its breathtaking attacking football and the emergence of one of the most feared strike partnerships in Europe.
The combination of Robbie Fowler and Stan Collymore defined Liverpool’s season, with their pace, power, and clinical finishing producing goals at an extraordinary rate. Their chemistry peaked in unforgettable matches such as the legendary 4–3 victory over Newcastle United F.C. at Anfield, where Collymore scored a dramatic injury-time winner in one of the greatest Premier League games ever played.
Despite their attacking brilliance, Liverpool endured cup disappointment, finishing as FA Cup runners-up after a 1–0 defeat to Manchester United F.C. in the final. The match became as famous for the pre-match headlines as the result itself, with Liverpool’s squad arriving at Wembley in matching cream suits in what became a defining image of the era.
The season also marked the final Liverpool goal for club legend Ian Rush, closing the chapter on one of the greatest goalscorers in the club’s history. Other key figures included Steve McManaman, captain John Barnes, and goalkeeper David James, all central to Liverpool’s fluid and attacking identity under Roy Evans.
This shirt remains closely associated with a season of exhilarating football, near misses, and unforgettable moments that defined Liverpool’s mid-90s “Spice Boys” era.
