Description

Home shirt worn by Liverpool F.C. during the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final, one of the most iconic matches in football history and a night forever remembered as the "Miracle of Istanbul".

The shirt features a classic all-red design with subtle white patches positioned on either side of the body, creating a clean and modern look. A red neckline and matching red cuffs maintain Liverpool’s traditional appearance, resulting in a simple yet instantly recognisable design that has become synonymous with one of the club’s greatest triumphs.

Liverpool entered the 2004–05 UEFA Champions League campaign under manager Rafael Benítez as underdogs. While domestic form was inconsistent, resulting in a 5th-place Premier League finish, the Reds produced a series of memorable European performances to reach the final. Along the way they overcame champions such as Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Juventus F.C. before defeating Chelsea F.C. in a dramatic semi-final thanks to Luis García’s famous "ghost goal" at Anfield.

The final, played on 25 May 2005 at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, saw Liverpool face a star-studded A.C. Milan side featuring some of the world's finest players. At half-time, Liverpool trailed 3–0 and appeared destined for defeat.

What followed became one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history. Inspired by captain Steven Gerrard, Liverpool scored three goals in a remarkable six-minute spell through Gerrard, Vladimír Šmicer and Xabi Alonso to level the match at 3–3. Goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek then produced a series of heroic saves, including a famous double stop from Andriy Shevchenko in extra time.

The match proceeded to a penalty shootout, where Dudek's antics and saves helped Liverpool secure a 3–2 victory on penalties and claim their fifth European Cup. The triumph completed one of the most unlikely and memorable victories in the history of the competition, securing Liverpool's place among football's greatest European champions.

💨 Drying
Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.
🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
