The 1997/98 season was a historic and “miraculous” campaign for Málaga CF, as the club secured promotion from the Segunda División B to the Segunda División. Under the new ownership of Grupo Bahía and Antonio Asensio, with Fernando Puche as president, the club invested heavily to build a promotion-worthy squad. Despite a turbulent start and a mid-season coaching change, Málaga finished the regular season as champions of Group IV. Promotion was ultimately confirmed in a dramatic final play-off match against Terrassa FC, where Málaga needed a three-goal victory while hoping Talavera failed to win their match. In what is remembered as “pure Málaga football magic,” the team won 4–1, with a hat-trick from Pablo Guede securing their return to the second tier.

🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
