Description
Away shirt worn by Manchester City F.C. during the 2013–14 season, a historic campaign in which the club secured a memorable domestic double, winning both the Premier League and the League Cup under the guidance of manager Manuel Pellegrini.
The design features a striking grey and black vertical split, creating a bold and modern aesthetic that stood out from the club’s traditional colour palettes. The sleeves alternate between grey and black, continuing the asymmetric theme, while subtle gold detailing adds a premium touch to reflect the club’s elite ambitions. A simple black neckline completes the kit, giving it a clean and powerful finish.
The 2013–14 season is widely regarded as one of the most dominant attacking campaigns in English football history. City broke the Premier League’s 100-goal milestone by January and went on to finish the season with 102 league goals, underlining their relentless attacking style. Across all competitions, they scored a remarkable 156 goals in total.
City’s success was built on a devastating attacking core. Sergio Agüero led the line with 17 league goals and 28 in all competitions, while Yaya Touré delivered one of the greatest midfield scoring seasons in Premier League history, netting 20 league goals and 24 overall. Edin Džeko and Álvaro Negredo also provided crucial goals throughout the campaign, giving City unmatched depth in attack.
Defensively and creatively, the team was anchored by captain Vincent Kompany, whose leadership was vital during the title run-in. City’s home form at the Etihad Stadium proved especially decisive, with dominant victories including emphatic scorelines against top-flight opposition.
The defining moment of the season came on the final day, as City held their nerve to defeat West Ham United F.C. 2–0 at the Etihad Stadium. That result secured the Premier League title by just two points ahead of Liverpool F.C., completing a dramatic late surge after a tense title race.
The 2013–14 campaign is remembered as a landmark season in Manchester City’s modern history, combining trophy success with breathtaking attacking football. The grey and black away shirt with gold detailing worn throughout that season remains an iconic symbol of one of the club’s greatest ever sides.
