Description

Home shirt worn by Manchester United F.C. during the 1998–99 and 1999–2000 seasons, the most successful period in the club’s history. Under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United achieved the historic Continental Treble before following it up with a dominant Premier League title defence and world championship success.

The shirt features a classic red base with black and white detailing running down the sleeves. A white collar and matching white cuffs, finished with red and black stripes, complete a design that has become forever associated with one of football’s greatest teams.

The 1998–99 season saw Manchester United write their names into football history. The club became the first English side to win the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League in a single campaign. The Premier League title was secured on the final day with a 2–1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, finishing one point ahead of Arsenal. In the FA Cup, United defeated Newcastle United 2–0 at Wembley after overcoming Arsenal in a dramatic semi-final replay that featured Ryan Giggs’ unforgettable solo goal. The season culminated in the famous Champions League Final in Barcelona, where injury-time strikes from Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjær completed a stunning comeback against Bayern Munich to secure European glory.

Manchester United carried that momentum into the 1999–2000 season, producing one of the most dominant league campaigns of the Premier League era. Despite the departure of legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, Ferguson’s side retained the title by a then-record margin of 18 points, scoring an incredible 97 league goals. The club also became world champions by defeating Palmeiras in the Intercontinental Cup, further cementing their status as the best team on the planet.

The side was built around an iconic core featuring the famed “Class of ’92”, including David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville, while captain Roy Keane provided inspirational leadership in midfield. Up front, the devastating partnership of Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole spearheaded the attack, with Yorke finishing as the club’s top scorer during the Treble-winning season with 29 goals in all competitions.

This shirt represents the peak of Manchester United’s dominance under Ferguson, symbolising the side that conquered England, Europe and the world while establishing one of the greatest dynasties football has ever seen.

Washing Instructions

Care Instructions To keep your shirt looking its best for years to come, please follow these guidelines carefully.
🌡️ Temperature
Wash at 30°C maximum. Higher temperatures can damage the fabric, fade colours, and crack printed lettering.
🔄 Cycle
Use a gentle or delicate cycle only. Avoid heavy spin cycles which can distort the shirt shape.
👕 Inside Out
Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the back print, badges, and any embroidery.
🧴 Detergent
Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.
💨 Drying
Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.
🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
