Description

Third shirt worn by Napoli during the historic 1988/89 season.

The shirt features a striking red base, complemented by a matching red collar trimmed with blue and white stripes. The cuffs mirror this same blue and white striped detailing, giving the design a bold contrast and making it one of Napoli’s most distinctive alternate kits of the era.

The 1988/89 campaign was a landmark season for Napoli. Under manager Ottavio Bianchi, the club claimed its first major European honour by winning the UEFA Cup, defeating VfB Stuttgart 5–4 on aggregate in the two-legged final (2–1 at home, 3–3 away). Domestically, Napoli finished as runners-up in Serie A with 47 points, 11 behind champions Inter Milan, and also ended as runners-up in the Coppa Italia, losing 4–1 on aggregate to Sampdoria in the final.

Led by the brilliance of Diego Maradona and the goals of Careca, Napoli cemented their place among Europe’s elite by lifting the club’s first-ever major international trophy.

🧴 Detergent
Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.
💨 Drying
Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.
🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.

Items with player printing or any customisation cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances (unless they arrive damaged, see question 2). All sales are final.

If we confirm the issue, we will send you a free replacement shirt (shipping included) at no extra cost, and you can keep the original damaged item.
