Description

Third shirt worn by Rangers during their 1996/97 season.

The shirt uses a bold red base, with wide white stripes bordered in black running diagonally from the collar out across each shoulder, tapering as they reach the sleeves. A V neck collar carries the same red, white and black striping, tying the shoulder detail into the neckline.

Rangers wore this shirt as they equalled a landmark in Scottish football, winning the Scottish Premier Division for a ninth consecutive season, matching Celtic's long standing record from the 1960s and 70s. The team also won the League Cup, though their Scottish Cup campaign ended at the quarter-final stage and they were eliminated in the Champions League group stage. Brian Laudrup finished the season as the club's top scorer, underlining his importance to the side during this era of sustained dominance.

The shirt's bold diagonal striping ran through a historic ninth straight league title, equalling a record that had stood in Scottish football for over two decades.

Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.

Items with player printing or any customisation cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances (unless they arrive damaged, see question 2). All sales are final.
