Description

Away shirt worn by Rangers during their 1997/98 season.

The shirt uses fine white and grey pinstripes running the length of the body, fading from white at the top into black towards the hem. A black collar edged in red and white finishes the neckline, with matching trim on the cuffs.

Rangers wore this shirt during their pursuit of a record tenth consecutive league title, a chase that fell agonisingly short. Marco Negri's prolific early season form, including 32 league goals, kept the club firmly in contention, but a difficult second half of the campaign, including defeats to Kilmarnock and Aberdeen in the final weeks, saw Celtic take the title by two points. Manager Walter Smith departed at the end of the season, his ninth in charge, having already announced his exit some months earlier.

The shirt's fading pinstripe design ran through a campaign that promised history but ended in the club's first missed title in nine years.

Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.
🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
