Description

Home shirt worn by Rangers during their 1997/99 seasons.

The shirt uses two shades of blue split across the body, a lighter tone above and a deeper navy below, divided by a thin red stripe running across the chest. A white collar with dark trim finishes the neckline, with matching white cuffs edged in the same trim.

This shirt spans two very different seasons for Rangers. In 1997/98 the club fell agonisingly short of a record tenth consecutive league title, finishing second to Celtic by two points despite Marco Negri's prolific scoring form, and manager Walter Smith departed at the end of the campaign. Dick Advocaat arrived to rebuild the squad, and in 1998/99 delivered an immediate domestic treble, winning the league by six points from Celtic, along with the Scottish Cup and League Cup, giving the club its first clean sweep of domestic honours since 1992/93.

The shirt's two toned blue design ran through the disappointment of a missed tenth title and the treble winning response that followed under a new manager.

Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.
💨 Drying
Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.
🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
