The shirt features River Plate’s timeless white base, dominated by the club’s iconic diagonal red sash running across the chest, creating one of the most recognisable designs in world football. The 1998–2000 period was another highly successful era for River Plate, as the club continued to dominate Argentine football and secured both the Apertura 1999 and Clausura 2000 league titles. Managed first by Ramón Díaz and later by Américo Gallego, River combined experience with an exciting new generation of attacking talent. This was the era of the famous “Los Cuatro Fantásticos” quartet of Pablo Aimar, Javier Saviola, Juan Pablo Ángel, and Ariel Ortega, whose creativity, pace, and goals made River one of the most entertaining teams in South America. The club also remained competitive internationally, reaching the Copa Libertadores semi-finals in 1998.

Use a gentle or delicate cycle only. Avoid heavy spin cycles which can distort the shirt shape.

👕 Inside Out

Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the back print, badges, and any embroidery.

🧴 Detergent

Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.

💨 Drying

Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.

🔥 Ironing

Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.

Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.

⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.

1. Can I return or exchange my retro shirt?

We operate a strict no-returns and no-exchanges policy. We do not accept returns for any reason, including change of mind, wrong size, or personal preference. Items with player printing or any customisation cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances (unless they arrive damaged, see question 2). All sales are final.

2. What happens if my shirt arrives damaged?

Please inspect your order immediately and contact us right away at [email protected] with your order number and clear photos of the damage.
If we confirm the issue, we will send you a free replacement shirt (shipping included) at no extra cost, and you can keep the original damaged item.

3. How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders are prepared and dispatched within 3–4 business days.
UK delivery after dispatch: typically 5–7 business days.
International delivery after dispatch: typically 10–14 business days.

You will receive a shipping confirmation with full tracking as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. All shipping is completely free worldwide.

Monitor your tracking regularly. If you believe delivery has failed, first contact the courier yourself (using the tracking link we sent you) to reschedule delivery or arrange collection.
Then email us at [email protected]. We will investigate and confirm whether the package is lost (this usually takes 1–2 weeks after the scheduled delivery date). If confirmed lost, we will send you a free replacement (shipping included) at no extra cost.
