Description
Home shirt worn by Tottenham Hotspur F.C. during the 2006–07 season, a highly entertaining and competitive campaign under manager Martin Jol, in which Spurs finished 5th in the Premier League and secured UEFA Cup qualification for a second consecutive year.
The shirt is built on a classic white base, staying true to Tottenham’s traditional home identity while introducing a modern mid-2000s design twist. A defining feature is the navy curved panel wrapping around the top of the back of the shirt, adding contrast and depth to the otherwise clean silhouette. This is paired with a crisp white neckline and navy cuffs, creating a sharp and balanced finish that reflects the club’s contemporary Premier League era.
The 2006–07 season began with inconsistent form in the league, but Spurs gradually found rhythm as the campaign progressed. Their strong home record at White Hart Lane proved crucial, helping them secure 12 wins from 19 home matches and ultimately push into the top five.
Tottenham also impressed across multiple competitions, reaching the latter stages in all tournaments they entered. However, the intensity of their schedule eventually caught up with them, resulting in a series of narrow but painful eliminations in quick succession.
In the UEFA Cup, Spurs reached the quarter-finals before being knocked out 4–3 on aggregate by eventual winners Sevilla FC, after a spirited and competitive run in Europe.
In domestic cup competitions, Tottenham reached the FA Cup quarter-finals but were eliminated 2–1 in a replay by eventual winners Chelsea, while in the League Cup they advanced to the semi-finals before falling to rivals Arsenal over two legs.
The standout feature of the season was Tottenham’s explosive attacking unit. Dimitar Berbatov enjoyed a superb debut season, finishing as the club’s top scorer with 23 goals in all competitions, while Robbie Keane matched his output with 22 goals. Jermain Defoe also made a major impact with 18 goals, giving Spurs one of the most dangerous forward lines in England.
Jermaine Jenas provided additional attacking support from midfield, contributing key goals and helping sustain Spurs’ push for European qualification.
Overall, this home shirt represents a strong and progressive period for Tottenham, defined by attacking flair, improved consistency, and a clear return to European competition under Martin Jol.
