Description

Home shirt worn by TSV 1860 München during the 1996/97 season.

The design features a light blue base with a bold white panel across the top of the chest and sleeves, creating a sharp contrast and giving the shirt a structured, modern look. The 1996/97 season was a landmark campaign for TSV 1860 München, as the club returned to prominence under the guidance of the legendary coach Werner Lorant. After finishing 9th the previous year, the team exceeded expectations by securing 7th place in the Bundesliga, earning qualification for the 1997/98 UEFA Cup, its first European appearance in over 20 years. The season featured fiercely contested Munich derbies against Bayern, a disciplined and aggressive style instilled by Lorant, and a home fortress at the Olympiastadion that made the club notoriously difficult to beat. Although the DFB-Pokal run ended in the Round of 16 against Karlsruher SC, the league performance marked a high point for the club in the modern era, with the bold blue-and-white kit perfectly reflecting 1860’s identity and ambition.

🧴 Detergent
Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.
💨 Drying
Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.
🔥 Ironing
Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.
Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.
⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.
