Description

Away shirt worn by Uruguay during their 2010–2012 international period.

The shirt takes a crisp white base and threads it with light blue piping around the collar, sleeve edges and side seams, with a bold sky-blue panel arcing from each underarm down to the hem for a sense of movement. The clean white canvas with sky-blue trim offered a sharp contrast to Uruguay's traditional light blue home strip, giving La Celeste a smart, minimalist alternative for the road.

This was the shirt of Uruguay's "Golden Era" under Óscar Tabárez, when La Celeste re-established themselves as a genuine world power. At the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Uruguay topped their group before edging past Ghana on penalties in a dramatic quarter-final remembered for Luis Suárez's goal-line handball, often nicknamed the "Hand of God 2.0," which denied Ghana a certain winner in the dying seconds. Uruguay went on to reach the semi-finals, eventually finishing fourth after defeats to the Netherlands and then Germany in the third-place play-off, their best World Cup showing in 40 years.

The following year, Uruguay carried that form into the 2011 Copa América in Argentina, knocking out the host nation on penalties in the quarter-finals before beating Paraguay 3–0 in the final, with goals from Luis Suárez and Diego Forlán. It was Uruguay's 15th Copa América crown, making them the tournament's most successful team in history.

Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to protect the back print, badges, and any embroidery.

🧴 Detergent

Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners as these can degrade print quality.

💨 Drying

Air dry only — lay flat or hang away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry as heat will shrink fabric and damage prints.

🔥 Ironing

Do not iron directly over printed areas or badges. If needed, iron on the reverse side only using a low heat setting.

Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist. Wash separately from items with zips or rough textures that could snag the fabric.

⚠️ Back Print & Badge Care Printed names, numbers, and woven badges are particularly sensitive to heat and abrasion. Always wash inside out, never iron over them directly, and avoid contact with rough surfaces during washing.

1. Can I return or exchange my retro shirt?

We operate a strict no-returns and no-exchanges policy. We do not accept returns for any reason, including change of mind, wrong size, or personal preference. Items with player printing or any customisation cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances (unless they arrive damaged, see question 2). All sales are final.

2. What happens if my shirt arrives damaged?

Please inspect your order immediately and contact us right away at [email protected] with your order number and clear photos of the damage.
If we confirm the issue, we will send you a free replacement shirt (shipping included) at no extra cost, and you can keep the original damaged item.

3. How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders are prepared and dispatched within 3–4 business days.
UK delivery after dispatch: typically 5–7 business days.
International delivery after dispatch: typically 10–14 business days.

You will receive a shipping confirmation with full tracking as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. All shipping is completely free worldwide.
